ALL DAY COFFEE BAR
2020 / Completed / 220 sq.m.
Located in the district of Papagou, this project focuses on the adaptive reuse of a two-story former clinic, transforming the building into a vibrant and flexible contemporary space. The primary objective was to reactivate the structure while respecting and highlighting its distinctive architectural character.
The building itself presents a striking formal identity, defined by an inverted sloped roof and a central internal atrium that vertically connects the two levels. This atrium becomes the spatial heart of the project, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the interior while reinforcing visual continuity between floors.
At the ground level, particular emphasis was placed on the relationship between interior and exterior spaces. The existing outdoor terrace was redesigned as a landscaped garden, extending the usable area of the building and creating a calm, welcoming environment that softens the urban context.
The upper level is conceived as a flexible, multi-purpose environment that accommodates a variety of everyday activities—from casual dining to informal working and social interaction. Together, these interventions reinterpret the former clinic as a dynamic space that supports contemporary patterns of use while preserving the building’s original spatial qualities.
