Small Clinic

2020 / Completed / 50 sq.m.

Located in the residential district of Psychiko, this ground-floor space was designed to function as a private medical practice. The project presented a distinct spatial challenge: a compact floor plan combined with an irregular, angular geometry that strongly influenced the interior design strategy.

Rather than resisting these constraints, the design embraces them. The interior layout follows the sharp angles of the existing envelope, allowing the architecture to guide the organization of the program and circulation throughout the practice.

The reception and waiting area, anchored by the welcome desk, is subtly separated from the examination and doctor’s office through a series of diagonal partitions. These carefully positioned walls optimize movement within the limited space while maintaining clear functional boundaries between public and private zones.

To soften the geometry and introduce warmth, these partition elements are highlighted with wood veneer cladding, creating a tactile contrast against the more neutral surfaces of the interior. Custom-designed functional elements, including the desks and built-in storage, echo the angled language of the space, translating the irregular plan into a coherent and expressive design vocabulary.
